The Artist's Process

Capturing Fleeting Moments Through a Leica Lens

Using a Leica Q camera as part of his artistic practice, Ma Dongmin photographs horses in their natural environment, capturing fleeting moments of movement and energy that later serve as the foundation for his large-scale oil paintings.

"This exhibition has been more than an art showcase — it reflects our vision for Leica Store South Beach Quarter as a cultural destination where photography, art, and creative dialogue come together."

Sunil Kaul · Managing Director, Leica Camera Asia Pacific

Ma Dongmin’s ability to transform decisive moments captured through photography into powerful artistic expressions resonates strongly with Leica’s philosophy of seeing. Leica looks forward to presenting more cultural experiences in the future.
